Art lovers are in for a treat with the return of our Widcombe Art Trail weekend, August 28th-29th, 10.30am to 5.30pm. This year Widcombe Art trail 2021 is going to be a bit different, due to Covid restrictions. We have been carefully planning so we can welcome visitors as safely as possible at each of our sites. You can expect some nice chats with artists, as well as see work in progress. We also have some new artists joining us as well as the long-standing favourites. All venues are suitable for wheelchairs and disabled visitors. Track and trace, monitored numbers, and social distancing will be in place throughout the weekend.
This year’s venues include: Widcombe Social Club, St Matthews Church and The Natural Theatre Company, a new and welcome addition. All three are conveniently located so you can easily visit all three.
Covid Health and Safety Requirements
Even if restrictions have been lifted we have to be cautious as Covid will still be around.
Visitors will be required to check in for track and trace either manually or using the NHS app. There will be a clear one way route indicated in all 3 venues.
Artists and visitors will be expected to wear masks and there will be temperature checks and hand sanitisation on arrival.
We know you will also enjoy using the weekend as an opportunity to explore and appreciate Widcombe – a very special part of Bath, where the city meets the countryside, full of history and lovely views, yet only just over the river from the station and Southgate. Pedestrian access from the city is over the footbridge behind Bath Spa station.
Nearest car parks are Southgate, Avon Street and Cricket Ground: Widcombe has some unrestricted street parking on Sundays. Please note: private houses may be unsuitable for wheelchairs and disabled visitors.

Widcombe Art Trail is a member of Bath Open Studios, a collaborative group representing the Open Studios and Art Trails In Bath. While each trail has its own individual style all share a relaxed and friendly welcome. They take place in different areas of Bath and allow visitors to walk between venues, most of which are the artists’ own homes or studios.
